Break down Makabu's career since he lost to Bellew then. Who has he fought and at what level were those fights? None of his 2 fights since that loss were even British CW level- lets be real now. Bellew was bounced by Makabu lets not forget at CW. This is serious stuff when we are considering him facing the undisputed number 1 at CW in Uysyk.
I guess people refer back to that fight because it's the single time Bellew has fought one of the best in his division. If he fights Usyk it will be the second time he's fought one of the best. I'm sure that one will stick in the mind as well. People are always bothered about the highest level when it comes to sports there's not much getting away from it. Pac just kept fighting at the highest level, that's the difference.
He gets a lot of **** on here but fair play to Tony, looks like he really wants this. All the right noises coming out of both camps. What a spectacle it is and what a privilege to have someone like Usyk come over here and fight in front of us. I know Tony is from Liverpool but it’s bizarre they’re considering Liverpool as a venue. Surely this could do 20k tickets? Put it on in Manchester and double it with a half decent Crolla fight.
Fair play to Bellew: - Became a world Champion - sorted for the rest of his life financially from the Haye fights. - Will now aim for Greatness and take on the unified Cruiserweight Champion in what is expected to be his last fight. I hope Bellew pulls off a major upset but i am expecting a shut out schooling given from Usyk.
Fast car trying to steal buys from fury wilder by putting this a week before, textbook snake move Bellew KO3 left hook of course
Insane that this is going to be a thing but I'm all for it. Doesn't add an awful lot to Usyk's resume other than a little depth I guess but it'll be awesome having him here. The dude travels everywhere
You forgot that he claims to be a warrior yet the first sign of trouble against Stevenson, he turned his back and offered his arris while waving a Real Madrid flag. Very good salesman but a mediocre boxer.
The Fury fight may not happen and a 4am fight is not going to be over popular with the British Public given Fury promised to KO Wlad then delivered the biggest stinker in a boxing ring. People that get conned don't usually fall for it again.
I'd like to see this fight and I think it would be good for it to be made at heavyweight. Usyk if he's serious about the heavies could probably ease his way in against someone like Bellew. He'd probably fancy his chances and Tony is a name. I think Usyk goes in favourite but Bellew will fancy his chances as well at the higher weight. Could make for a dramatic fight.
