If he wanted to be a legend, he would have been in the WBSS tourney.

    All he wants is wonga

All he wants is wonga - that is his choice and we understand.

The price for taking the money option and avoiding the WBSS is people know he is no warrior

Just like every other fighter in the game. They are all fighting for 'Wonga' just Bellew has earned himself a lot more than most. You cant hate him for that.

I have a hard time believing any other fighter in the WBSS given the same choice as Bellew would of picked the WBSS.

Id bet Usyk earned around the same if not more than Bellew did for those 2 fights.

Haha Calzaghes good for a few months admittedly was pushing it with a few inclusions :) Maybe Bellew does sneak in then when Calzaghe and Hatton expire.

Khan's a legend and makes my top ten. If only on entertainment value and sheer balls. Brook was definitely bottom of the list but scrapes in for putting it all on the line against Golovkin. Left out Burns due to a few gifted decisions but he is a 3 weight world champ and wouldn't be out of place in the bottom 5.

Not sure. There was a reason Usyk called out Bellew.

Of course as he is a good money fight in the UK now and a good win will get all the AJ fans talking.

Didnt Usyk get $10m for the tounament? That's easily more than Bellew got for those 2 fights.

I reckon Bellew earned more - the PPV Mugs fleeced in big numbers for both fights after the scripted acting for fight 1 and Toe lying about his injuries for fight 2. The O2 sold out for both fights with high ticket prices.

This was the biggest PPV con in boxing history if we ignore the Mayweather v McGregor Exhibition 'fight'

See what happens mate. If Bellew pulls it off then it will go down as one of the best wins ever by a British fighter.

Usyk will increase his work rate as the rounds go on. I can see the ref jumping in to save Bellew.

I stand corrected if Usyk got that

I don’t think he got 10 million dollars. The prize pool was 50 million across the two tournaments. Bellew earned a guaranteed £2.8m in the first fight plus sponsorships etc, then the second fight he had the lions share which was over 4.5 for Haye in the first. So yeah Bellew probably did earn more than Usyk for one fight less even if he did get 10 million dollars.

I believe the winners of the WBSS finals get $10million each + their share of the QF+SF money. Usyk should take home at least $13.5million in prize money from the tournament although they have not revealed purses for any of the fights as far as I know.

That's $1 mill from the QF $2.5 mill from the SF and $10million from the final.

And of course the prestigious Mohamed Ali trophy.

And Bellew took home around that for 2 fights without taking any damage. And he would have needed to have won the tourney to earn that, plus it would have been over 3 fights. Now he will get a huge payday v Usyk which he would not be getting if he was in tourney. So Bellew will end up earning around £10-11m before tax for Haye x 2 and Usyk. Tells me he made right decision.

I think Usyk will box Bellew's ears off. But Tony will land something big at some stage, and who knows what happens after that. Tony's power is legit and Usyk can be hurt. I think Usyk wins this fight easy 7 or 8 times out of 10. But in the others Tony takes him out. Who knows, it could be that night Tony lands something big.

I like the fight and will give Bellew big credit for taking it. It should be a PPV success and if Tony somehow won, his legacy will be up there with the best Brits of all time. Might as well dare to be great at this stage. Not much to lose, won a title and financially secured. Go and try be great Tony!

I don't like Bellew btw. But he goes up in my estimation with this one and has the power to wobble anyone.
