So the rumours were true,Andre Ward wants to move up again to fight Bellew to become a 3 weight champ... Ward wants the fight, Bellew wants the fight, But Hearn dont like 'THE NUMBERS'....!!!! It is so frustrating that a promoter can put a stop to a fight that both fighters want but wont capture the 'casuals' market but can put on **** fest bum fights that may make a pot of loot!!
So he will come back to Cruiser to fight Ward but he won't fight Usyk, Briedes etc .. just retire tony mate no one really gives a **** tbh
I like the fight but I'd rather see Ward v Beterbiev or Gvozdyk. Theres people out there already saying he's cleaned out 175 which is obviously not the case.
Ward will annihilate Bellew and it would legitimise Wards tilt for a heavyweight title shot as Bellew is seen as cruiser/heavy. Smart move by wards team if they are steering him towards a Wilder/Joshua showdown.
Just goes to show Bellew doesn't really want a Haye rematch, as he knows full well a fit Haye batters him.
Bellew should be doing his best to enter the Cruiserweight tournament but it's never going to happen, let's be honest.
Ward p4p is far better than Bellew but would he beat Bellew at Cruiserweight, would have a decent chance but I think Tony could pip him in a very competitive fight. I personally think this fight would do great numbers in UK ppv
I would watch and I agree it would do big numbers but I think Ward would school him and possibly stop him with the body shots. Do you guys think Bellew at CW hits harder than Kovalev at LHW? It's hard to compare obviously but I'm not so sure. Bare in mind Kovalev absolutely destroyed Cleverly at LHW and a heavier Bellew couldn't even put a dent into a gassed Cleverly who was a fish out of water at CW. I think it's an easy fight for Ward and I don't see it happening since Bellew is not a current world champion anymore.
Getting sick of all this moving around the weights 2 at a time or 1 then almost straight away another jump up. Bellew is no heavy and after making his money and vastly improving his reputation with a very good but still lucky performance vs Haye should have went down to defend his world title against the Cruisers. But in order to make more money he says he wants another heavyweight fight. Fair enough I suppose most would do the same for the money. But then he's willing to fight a fella who 2 years ago was a 12 stone Super middle when he's supposed to be a Heavy now. Sorry but **** off. I'M A BELLEW FAN. We have Brook jumping two weights, Kahn doing the same because people in their opponents weights are too scared to fight them. We have self proclaimed 'TBE' who'll only come out of retirement to fight an MMA fella who im guessing would get battered sparring in any Irish ABC. This sport is a joke haha.
Sorry mate but there's no such thing as a fit Haye and hasn't been for years. Bellew has nothing to worry about in a rematch with him but realistically when would that happen, does he just wait for him and hope he gets fit? Ward is by far the superior fighter and i'd expect him to beat Bellew on points however if anyone is gonna pull off a surprise it's him. If he caught him sweet then he could stop him.
