I read this morning that Nathan Cleverly had given up his European light heavyweight belt so he can move on to the world stage and that he also plans to relinquish the British belt as well thus putting Bellew in the frame for a title crack. Warren will no doubt want to keep the belt in the family and a rematch between Ajisafe and Bellew may get put together for the vacant belt....anyone have any thoughts on seeing Bob and Tony fight again or do you think two other fighters should get to fight for the British belt if it comes up for discussion soon?

Also sorry if this news has been posted in another thread...could not find anything.

And Campillo and Thierry Karl have been put forward to fight for the European strap.:good

The rematch is a boxing news idea it seems...

If it is Bellew for the vacant title he would be fighting McIntosh for the vacant title not Ajisafe. Plus theres no way Sky buy that fight.

Rather see Bellew v McIntosh for the vacant title, no need for Ajisafe rematch, imo was not a close fight and cant believe one of the judges scored it 115-114:-(

A rematch would just be an outing to see if Bellew can improve on his last performance, whereas Bellew/McIntosh will be bombs away edge of the seat stuff, plus McIntosh deserves it more after sparking Oakey.:good

The rematch idea was from boxing news and the main reason I posted this thread up. I do not want to see the rematch and would definetly enjoy McIntosh vs Bellew.

Also no talk of when the fight would take place...

Bellew would beat McIntosh imo, McIntosh has far too many technical flaws, although he did show a bit of grit against Cleverly so at the very least it could be a decent fight, having said that, Bellew hits harder than Clev.

And Bellew looked no way near the class of Clev plus McIntosh was destroyingdodgy opponents long before Bellew came along...

Not all about one punch power though is it?? you reckon Ajisafe would take Clev 12 rounds?? cos I certainly dont.

Take your point though, styles making fights I reckon McIntosh could make Bellew look very good and if he stops him quicker than Clev he is right back on track.

:rofl:rofl:rofl Only if the alternative was premier league snooker Tony, although i'd rather watch you hit the bag in the gym than fight awkward Aji again.

Definitely not. But the problem with fighting McIntosh next, in my opinion, is that you would rock him early and look for the KO for the rest of the fight. I actually think you would 'Ice' him by round 4 or 5 but I would like to see you in a boxing match instead of a banging match. I would like to see you box somebody with a cast iron chin next.
I think you need to box a competitive 10 rounds before sparking Cleverly. I rate Cleverly, but I actually see him as an easy fight for you. I think his style is perfect for you to lamp him. That said, I do think you need a boxing match before you go in with him or you could find yourself in a situation you have not experienced which could have disastrous consequences!

Then again, I could be talking horse ****. Suppose time will tell :good

Yeah, but Bellew likes to put it on his man, which worked against him when the guy he was fighting did not come to win, now its okay coming to frustrate, but Ajisafe was not trying to win!

I personally dont think McIntosh trust his technique, he was throwing punches in the Cleverly fight, but he shut up shop mid rounds when he started paying for his reaching, now I think that would become more apparent against Bellew, particularly if Bellew makes him feel his power.

I personally dont see much difference between Clev and Bellew in terms of ability/potential, although I dont know if Bellew can prevail in a balls to the wall fight, Clev has proven he can, not to say Bellew cant, just that in the fights ive seen him in, he has not needed to thus far.
