I think Haye needs a KO or stoppage in the first 4 rounds for it to be 'impressive' in the grand scheme of things. If he can, I think he can carry on looking for the Joshua/Wilder/Whyte/Fury fights.
I went with a Haye win the first time around, too much talent and still more powerful than TB.... until he took that first big swing in the first round and I said to the landlord his timing is way off he's had it. Before that, i thought as long as he was fit he would probably have enough to beat TB... Shows what I know The injuries and loss of speed must hampered a fighter and Tony like him or not is in the ring regular and is properly battle hardened - he's also a solid lump. Not overly athletic but has enough of everything to be a threat. Still lots of support for a Haye win to setup the trilogy though
I still believe in Haye 8.0 (or whatever we're up to now). I've just got to believe . I really want to see Tony "my only title defence was against B J Flores" Bellew brought down a peg or two given the way he's been acting like a hero since he beat one legged Haye. I don't think anyone really knows which way this fight is going to go - guess that makes it interesting if not still really ppv worthy. think I'll buy it all the same.
According to the Toe to Toe podcast, Joyce has never sparred him. That was a difficult listen, it’s infuriating enough but Joyce has the charisma of a traffic cone.
Really??? I thought it would be a guarantee, quite weird that they haven't helped each other out, not even once. Traffic cone
To be honest, I haven't really been follwing the buildup much; but I can imagine Haye the master salesman is telling all and sundry that he is "feeling great", "in the best shape he's ever been in" etc.
ill admit that seeing haye suffer after the wlad fight gave me a chuckle. but despite not really liking the way he comes across at times i really do wish him recovery from his injuries. he was one of the uks top fighters and usually entertaining to watch. as decent as bellew is, a reasonably fit haye should be following the stevenson blueprint and finishing the fight emphatically and early. but there lies the question.
There’s something odd about Haye’s demeanour this time. He says it’s him not letting Bellew get under his skin, but there’s just something not right when you watch him on IFL etc.
