Who wins? Bellew did better than we thought, countered well in the early rounds BUT Haye was swinging wildly even before the injury. (Trying to get Bellew out early because he new he had a bad ankle? or Old and slow? ) But he did struggle to get a one legged Haye out of there. Has Haye anything left? Will he come in lighter? Will Haye actually Jab and not do a Wilder impression?
Haye KO middle rounds. This is the fight where we will really see how much Haye has left. If the rematch looks competitive in any way, shape or form, Haye needs to retire, because he is obviously way past it, no excuses!!
Haye slips a disc climbing through the ropes, Bellew fails to put him away and wins a close split decision.
Just re-watched some of the early rounds. Christ the night. Haye made Wilder look like a Precision boxer.
Haye was injured before the fight he patched it up and hid it the best he could rather than cancel cuz he knew with his history of pulling out of fights he would be crucified for it. He had 2 choices, take it slow, nurse the injury and get Bellew to walk on to something or blast the man out quick and early. He chose option 2 and it didnt work, the wild lunges trying to put Bellew to sleep put too much pressure on that injury and it went big time. IF, If his body can refrain from breaking down he knocks Bellew out but Haye as a name to be mentioned with the top fighters are now behind us.
Cash out for both guys, it won't be high level, but it will be entertaining I could see Haye winning if he stays healthy, leading to a third fight
Haye is finished. Without his mobility and speed, which is never coming back he isn't a threat to good competition anymore.
This content is protected Eddie talks a bit about making of the 2nd fight among some other things. If you can't be assed to watch the whole video I recommend 3.30 to 4.00. Hearn at his best.
