I think Bellew has a chance here. He's a good boxer but, his defence can be suspect. Bellew has been hit by lesser boxers... which he can't afford to do with Stevenson. I definitely think he can outbox Stevenson though, whether he can outbox him and take or avoid Stevenson's punches enough to last the 12 rounds is another matter.
Bellew is a big big underdog here, I really can't see him winning this one unless he manages to land big before Stevenson lands big on him, If it goes to the cards and is close, it will be no way Bellew dominates him, you'd imagine Stevenson will get the nod in Canada, you never know but Stevenson in my eyes is about 85- 15 favorite to win
best of luck.. if you bring that belt back you are in for one hell of an xmas!! i am old enough to remember Lloyd Honeygan and Nigel Benn went abroad with little or no chance and came back victorious ,and much better for it
good luck lad. gutted I cant get the time off to get over for it but I know a few who are making the trip. up the toffees
Tony I think you have a good chance to win this, stevenson isn't as good as people make out. A high work rate will cause him problems
If Bellew can find a way to avoid Stevenson laser straight left he can beat Stevenson. He relies on that punch heavily.
whilst i kind of admire your bravado i suggest you keep football in football forums you complete bell whiff
I will support Tony all the way but he's not winning this fight, although he will put up a better show than Cloud.
Bellew is not on Stevenson's level, this will be an easy win. The only question is whether Bellew can last the 12 rounds or not.
Ha, 2 days ago you were all like ' I hope you do it' - what are you trying to prove or achieve with this? atsch
Stevenson is definitely beatable. Either way, the top spot in the division is only going to get harder to get to from here.
He trolls that much he forgets who he actually likes, can't someone just ban him? This site used to be for the serious boxing fans, poor moderating of forums and the articles is really bringing it down. Back to the topic - after watching Bellew struggle over 2 fights with Chilemba (well, I stopped watching the second fight after about 4 rounds) I can't see how he has the skills to beat Stevenson. I'd watched all of Bellews 5 or 6 preceeding fights too. Keeping it safe against the likes of McKenzie is a world away from doing the same against Stevenson. It's all about levels. Also this fight is only 6 weeks away, has Bellew already been in training at all does anyone know?
