Rob i agree with you mate. I think your right about the Clev bout as well it does add up really.

Tony's an emotional fella when in ring....i feel hypocritical cos i moan about Khan's bold comments about fighting PBF and then defend Tony's comments. I just think Tony's a tough kid who wants to ave it with anyone out there. He badly wants to win a world title and i think he believes in his power so much which is a good thing but can also be bad as we seen over the years.

I just hope he can settle down now and make a go of it before he gets beaten by someone who really he should beat.

I can promise you that the weight is not an issue for him. He does the weight the right way, eats well and trains unbelievably hard all week in Manchester. Does strength and conditioning with Everton FC a few times a week too, spends time on the track and records everything diligently. He realises you get one go at this and is giving it everything.

If he wasn't in first class condition, he wouldn't have got up from that second knockdown against McKenzie - and with a clear head - and go on to win the fight from there.

Like all pro's with 15 fights under their belts he's still learning. Of course he'd rather not have been knocked down in his last couple of fights but he knows the reasons why and he is working really hard on putting it right. It's a learning curve and he's learning all the time. He will be prepared for it if it ever happens again as he hopefully steps up in the future.

Like I said, I would never dream of answering for him but the weight is not an issue because he trains the right way

Rob - I'm not just saying this but I've seen him fight maybe 30 times am and pro and spar many, many rounds. I can promise you he can really punch, don't worry about that! :D

Agree with that. I was saying exactly that that I don't think the weight is the issue. Rob is just making assumptions based on the fact he faught as a HW in the ams.

Bellew does need to move to Cruiser IMO. 25lbs to stabilise his legs, and his power would improve even moreso because of it IMO.

I'll keep working on errors and try to keep improving, I'll move up eventually but for now I'll stay at 175lbs, if this fight goes ahead then hopefully I'll look good and shine, I just wanna be the best I can be and find my level, if you look at the MCKenzie fight I'm reasonably pleased from 3 onwards so considering what happened and stuff I'll take the result happily,

Thanks for all the comments guys, ps StevenB is my cousin.. ;)

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and looking at the way I used to make weight there would have been a possibility of making 168 but the following day I'd have been in the morgue, in all seriousness I am rated by a few people and not rated by a lot and rightly so after my last 2 displays, like I say I've found a wag to win on two bad nights against IMO 2 good opponents, I rated them both before I boxed them and rate them even better after facing them, mckenzie and ajisafe I feel will both win things domestically, I wish them well in the future, I'll not be talking about any other fight until I have this next fight out the way, I wanna prove myself with the right fights at the right times and I feel by doing that I'll be were I wanna be by the end of the year

Thanks again for all the support, I take nothing personal and every single person is entitled to an opinion wether I agree or not ;)

Not a great fight to be honest. Unlike Ajisafe and McKenzie who both came with something, Ajisafe was southpaw and a bit awkward, McKenzie had a bit of power and speed, I don't think Stubbs brings much to the table. He's a limited fighter and is perfect for Bellew to look impressive against. It would have been better if they fought a Brancalion. Another guy that would be a good style for Bellew to excel against but at a higher level than this.

I couldn't agree more although Brancalion won't come outta Italy unless it's forced on him or he gets silly money?? I think he'd come had something like the European was involved or an interim world title like the Brahmer fight or Cleverly fight?? Maybe after this fight I could face someone of that caliber but for now all I can see is Darren Stubbs and a potential British Title.... It'll be a dream come true to win the British Title ;)

I suppose its always nice to get the British title on board.

After this though it surely has to be McIntosh or nothing at domestic level.

I firmly agree mate, I just hope he beats Karl for Euro title, I feel it's a 50/50 fight, terrible to watch but it'll be great to see Danny Mc win as it sets something big up for us both ;)
