It'd be peak Bellew for him to cry about how he's injured or struggling at the weight if he lost, especially considering he criticizes others (Haye, Brook etc) for doing it.
Usyk KO/TKO for me. Usyk has to be careful not to fall in though when Bellew goes backwards though, he throws the left hook from his waist, looks like a bodyshot coming in almost. Seen him catch a few people with it. If he does knock down Usyk imo that's the way it likely happens.
Tony can win because he's dared to be great.A fight that no one thought would happen and from Tonys point of view didn't need to happen. While he is in there he has a chance. He does have good power, a lot of expierence,a massive will to win,and a big crowd behind him.Who knows.Usyk is an amazing boxer but it only takes a punch.I'm not making a prediction after saying Haye would terrorise him, and I won't be saying I told you so if he wins.I just hope if he loses he gets the credit for taking the fight and if he wins he gets the credit for beating an amazing fighter.Good luck Tony.
I wish tony all the best and I can see him giving it his all here, I like tony and feel he’s been great for British boxing but this is a tough fight for him here
It shouldn't be anything else but the toughest fight of his life for all the straps.I like Usyk too seems like a nice fella, but Tony has taken a lot of **** over his career,a bit of it being his own fault. But the guy is genuine,a proper family man and a nice guy.He is British and has earned this chance to be great with sheer will and determination and hard graft. We are too quick to knock people who do well in this country (god knows ive been guilty of it)I want him to win more than any other British fight or fighter in my life.Like Twentyman says bollocks to logical thinking on this one.Just get behind the lad win or lose for takin a fight that most people would have ran a mile from. After all as boxing fans how often do we moan coz the big fights don't get made, and people are avoiding each other.
I noticed Bellew has heavy swelling just below his eye. I worry this will close early in the fight as Usyk will see it and surely target it.
I think it'll go something like Andre Ward - kovalev 2 if im honest.. Usyks general skill level, hand eye coordination and conditioning are streets ahead of bellew. But it is a fight, so anything can happen. Really looking forward to it though..
The 'warrior' will not take a beating even for 60 secs - he will turn his back at the first sign of trouble per the Stevenson fight, the ref will wave the fight off and he sails back and forward on the Mersey Ferry with all the loot extracted from the PPV Mugths. Average Joe fighters who are good salesmen become multi millionaires these days.
