I say fair play to him because of the suffering he must of endured to make light heavy. It would of been much easier for him to make cruiser, but he chose the lower weight as many many fighters do. Being bigger on the night is not always advantageous to the fighter. It depends whose in the opposite corner for a start. It certainly didn’t do him any favours against Cleverly, the jump to cruiser did though.

 

I think the fighters and teams look at all the advantages or disadvantages of a certain division, and if they can make the weight, stick around in a division that could see them prosper the most.
