I think Tony is well worthy of a top 10 rating, and would have done a lot better against one of the earlier champions.Same I think is true of Cleverly. But they both came up against beasts at the top of their game,Stevenson in his own backyard.I don't actually think Stevensons reign will be a long one,due to his age.But at the moment,he's gonna take some beating. Both Tony and Nathan appear to be going up,but I actually think theres more depth there, though both can do well.
You did what you felt was right Tony. It's not us getting in there and taking the punches. I would of approached it a little differently in terms of game plan but that's not of interest. You showcased some world class defensive skills, took some clean hard punches and stood up to it. I felt you did hurt him at one point and you frustrated him and he's more then just a banger so it's credit to you. Small details at world class level in sport are so vital and one little mistake lead to the finish but you can be proud of your effort. You've come a long way!. And it's all part of the learning process. You didn't take a beatdown you was competing so it's positive. Keep chin up mate. Your time will come.
Typical scouse big mouth, they think they are funny, good fighters etc when in reality they are as funny as AIDS and the worst boxers the UK produces, well back to selling smack for Bellew.
No shame in losing to Stevenson he's a great fighter. At least you can say you had more success than Dawson or cloud did. Who do you reckon wins out of him and Kovalev?
TBF to Tony, he's bit unlucky that out of nowhere this Stevenson guy moves up a weight and just cuts a swathe through the division like a real life Clubber Lang. Bellew would have beaten Tavoris Cloud and Dawson seems a bit shot, so all a bit infortunate. Carl Froch got extremely lucky as well, assuming Adonis would have been as effective at super-middle.
Had my fill of scouse hype Jobs, first Price chasing the Klitschko's when Fat TT destroyed him twice, now Bellew gives it the big one and fails big time, did you know Liverpool had won the European Cup 5 times etc,ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
you dont have to prove dickheads on the internet. **** happens to us all! no1's perfect ...great champions like kovalov, stevensons will also eventually taste a defeat or 2! love your interviews! love your heart, passion & honesty! your a champion always!
By the way what are the chances a few 'test' results come out in the next few months in relation to the victor last night, and put his recent performances in a different light? Very likely IMO.
Tony was out classed last night losing every round and getting stopped, so yeah safe to say it wasn't a great performance. TBf Bellew knows this and has congratulated the winner which is the right thing to do. Bellew only 31 and can come again, LHW and CW have some good champions though so not an easy task, i wish him the best.
Bellew did better than Cloud did he? from what I saw Cloud came to fight and was pulled by his corner after 7. Bellew just came with a spoiler's mentallity as though he was only there to survive and look awkward and still lost every round and get stopped within 6.
I do think he had more success than Cloud, yes.Obviously it was not his fight to brawl with Stevenson but he landed a few decent punches, although as we know he was well beaten. In the same post, though,I said I could be wrong. By the way, asked you a question in your thread about Froch/Stevenson.Did you see it?
Bellew has to be given his dues, as a fighter, but he will never be Stevenson's level. Thing is for me though is that his personality stinks. Is it just me who is fed up of all this play ground bully boy stuff with opponents. He did all this with Chilemba, was very lucky to get the draw (70% of people on here had him losing) and then continued to bully Chilemba after the fight had happened. I'm sure everyone would be behind him (myself included) if it wasn't for this.
