No mate. I will go and have a look at it now. Cloud did very little in all fairness but then again so did Bellew.
See I think Kovalev may catch and hurt Stevenson but I would give Stevenson a better chance against Ward than what I would give Kovalev. Stevenson has the speed to land a few, the power to hurt anybody and his "questionable" punch resistance would not be at much risk against Ward. You would still have to favour Ward obviously, he is top drawer.
Clearly haven't reached your ceiling yet, which is good news...that wasn't the sort of tactics I expected because I didn't figure you had that kind of movement/skill level at world level. Hadn't seen the boxing before to that extent, looked promising. Definitely had some moments where Stevenson was in some trouble and looked out of ideas. I think it's going to take someone roughing him up and pushing him back (I assume that was the plan for the second half?). He's too damn strong to let him fight going forward the whole time, and he doesn't throw with much volume so playing keepaway won't really tire him out. But Shumenov is still out there holding a belt for someone...:bbb
Ward and Hopkins have the up-close style to totally ruin what Stevenson does while still staying safe. I doubt Hopkins could pull it off for 12 rounds at his age, but I wouldn't bet against him....ever again IMO Ward would absolutely school Stevenson and stop him...and he should. It's the biggest/most exciting HBO fight he can make and he'd be lineal champ in two divisions. Nobody truly wants to see Chavez Jr., Froch has business with Groves, and Golovkin doesn't bring the same rewards yet. IMO Kovalev is too much for anyone at LHW right now, Ward included.
Well I think Stevenson if fast enough to land something on Ward and if he does Ward would be hurt. I would still favour Ward but it would be pretty tough.
Big respect to Bellew for coming on here the day after fair play, firstly his performance was not poor he certainly knocked Stevenson down IMO and to go toe to toe with Adonis would have been stupid, Bellew was following his gameplan unfortunately he got caught and with a puncher like Adonis it's game over, Bellew will be back remember TBF Stevenson and Kovalev are beasts i mean watching last night do i think Bellew can beat Shuminov or Brahmer definitely, i think maybe Bellew vs Enzo would be a good move ATM big domestic fight and a nice rebuilding one for Bellew. Hard luck Tony you gave it your best mate that's all anyone can ask.
Bellews attitude stinks especially considering how limited he is and would be far more appreciated if he cut it oot a bit. He got beat by a man a level above him but had the baws to take him on in his own back yard. However, must give him all the respect for coming back on here and posting a very level response and has went up in my estimation. Too many take the easy route, denial or ignore so fair props fella.
From the way Tony talks he will be more disappointed than everyone on here put together. On a positive note , he takes a better shot than Chad Dawson.
Agreed. It was a clear slip and as Adonis was falling Bellew did land a glancing blow to the top of his head that might have given some people the impression it was from a punch. Adonis was never in any trouble even in the 3rd round which he still won. As for Tony, it's up to him whether he wants to post on here but at the same time he can't start having a go at people if they criticize his rather timid performance.
Not one of your biggest fans, however fair play to you for this post and the interviews you have given after the fight. Very honest and humble. Froch could take some lessons from you. I wish you well...
