Bellews Performance?

Didn't Bellew fight at Heavyweight in the ams? winning 3 ABA titles ? he's older now at 31 than he was back then so probably kills himself making 175.

 

the man in the past has said hes willing to die in the ring, he talks all this **** about beating and hurting people, yet fails to delivery every time. he deserves the criticism

 

I just want a change in ring personality from him. No more smashing talk, dial down the antics and arrogance. Adonis made him do the electric slide so that should humble him. If he can express confidence without overdoing it IS think a lot more people will get behind him

 

Half of Bellew's trash talk is him trying to convince himself he can win. It never sounds like it is confidence talking.

It must be hard being the greatest in your own head but your body just can't keep up.


Bellew isn't a bad lad, he just wants to be better than he really is and that drives a lot of the crap talk.

 

There's no harm in that.

Man, some of you are brutal. Was a big fan of Tony until his post-fight antics against Chilemba 1 and then what I felt were underhanded comments when Nathan lost to Kovalev. However, whatever you think of the lad, you have to commend him for giving it his best and stepping up. No shame in losing to Adonis who's considered one of the hardest P4P punchers.

You shouldn't feel the need to apologise to anyone. You are probably your own biggest critic and the most disheartened after your loss. Good luck on your comeback. All the best in the future and hope you achieve whatever you want to accomplish.

 

Rematch with cleverly us all he can hope for.

 

He gave a decent account of himself. I don't know that anyone should have been expecting much different. He was always going to be the much slower man in the ring. He tried biding his time and setting traps for Stevenson as best he could and it only worked up to a point, ultimately coming down to levels. (Bellew had already found his, and honestly the fact that he did enjoy scattered moments of success with Stevenson amounted to more than some thought he could do)

It was certainly better than Chilemba I.

 

He had a plan... make the counter-puncher come forward... played to the plan... wasn't good enough.

Give it your best shot and come up short... I'm not sure what else can be asked of a guy. Honestly, what could he have done differently? And don't talk about his pre-fight antics, coz they only exist to sell the fight. No sales = no money.
