Apart from his wins, don't forget Jerry's comic impressions on tv!

    RIP.

Best Quarry wins were against Foster who was monster puncher and knocked Sonny liston and Cleveland Williams, against Shavers,Patterson and Lyle!
His first bout with Frazier was better than second because he was washed and in bad shape for second! But in first he pushed Joe back and if he was not cut he would win by UD!
He never backed down and never ducked anybody!Only one fighter was so brave and hearted like Marciano and that was our Jerry! He is 2nd best white fighter!
For me he is higher than Dempsey,Morrison,Baer,Cooney,Pastrano,Pep,LaMotta,Chuvalo....
My favourite fighter after Marciano but not by his style but because his unmatched heart!

I so wished Jerry would have retired and stayed there after 1975, not even sparring. a 50-8-4 record with 30 knockouts with his career would have been a nice round number to go out on

A lot of great memorable fights over the years, he was a great counter puncher. I saw him last night in an episode of Adam 12. He was also a pretty good actor and boxing commentator.

Was that after Mathis beat Chuvalo? It looked in that fight like Buster got himself in good condition. He was 244 for Frazier, 232 for Chuvalo.

His Ali was on point LOL.

Love watching Jerry. Blood, guts, heart and skills. He was a tough out for anyone bar Ali himself and Smoking Joe. No shame there either. Both are two of the most formidable H2H fighters in the divisions history. One thing is for sure Jerry wasn’t intimidated by either of them or anyone else for that matter. He was a real fighter.

What were Jerry's five best anyway? I've seen Jerry a lot, and personally think Patterson II, Spencer, Mac Foster, Ron Lyle, and Earnie Shavers were Quarry's finest moments:

Patterson II: Quarry showed some innovation in laying on the ropes and tricking Patterson to slug with him. His counterpunching was never better.
Spencer: Quarry won some vicious exchanges against a good boxer who'd just beaten Ernie Terrell. Quarry showed a lot of power in both of the times he knocked Spencer down.
Foster: Quarry boxed well and methodically and patiently chopped down a tough and powerful Mac Foster. Quarry barely broke into a sweat.
Lyle: Quarry outslugged one of the all-time great punchers and outboxed him too.
Shavers: He bombed out the greatest puncher of all time in Round 1. He was never more aggressive.

I would say his best fight was his win over Lyle. Shavers would be second for me. Patterson third (ik I'll get criticized for this one), Spencer four, and Foster five. What does everyone else think?

WW : YOUR ABOUT RIGHT ON
Buster Mathis could have made that top 5 . But who do you throw out (lol) Mathis would have to be number 6 biggest Quarry win. Quarry had 5 underdog wins , and Mathis was one of them.
