Beltran/Gamboa? What is Arum's game? (was it for 50 to out Floyd ducking Pac?)

This intrigues me. After the Gamboa/TR split I never expected them to put Gamboa on a card. Do they think Beltran beats Gamboa? Do they want an in with Half Buck Chuck? They think he can do well? They want to spite Floyd/GBP? Seriously, I'm kinda confused by this one? They just want to put on a compelling fight? :rofl OK, the last one was kinda silly. Seriousy, I'd like some thoughts on this one.

Edit. Looks like I might have gotten my answer with 50 saying Floyd is running from Pac.

Gamboa needs to get busy and make up for some lost time. If this gets him back in camp, and in the ring, then all's good.

I like Gamboa as a fighter and agree he needs to be back in the ring. I'm just trying to figure out what is in this for Arum. I don't think Gamboa will sell enough tickets to pay for his purse as part of the under card. Maybe HBO kicked in for it to be added?

It's just a fight dude. Or maybe Arum still sees him as a viable ticket seller. What is his purse anyway?

Arum sizing Gamboa up as a possible opponent for Garcia.
(This time with intent & opposed to being a greedy ****)

Don't know his purse but I sorta remember the amount he was supposed to get for Rios. He just wont' sell that many additional tickets. Arum has known to be vindictive in the past and Gamboa jerked him around pretty hard. Even stood him up after asking to meet with him.

I don't know enough about Beltran to know if he has a shot in this fight, hence the thread.

Possible I guess since no one has seen Gamboa in a year. I can't even remember if he switched trainers? I know he started hanging around the Mayweather gym.

Guess I don't understand the point of the thread. It's just a fight on an undercard. I don't think there's any hidden, or unterior motives here. And remember his purse against Rios was just that, against Rios as the top billing. This is not the same boat. It's just a dingy compared.

I had assumed he was, but just looked at the TR site and don't see him listed. Damned, mystery deepens.

Point is Gamboa screwed over TR and now they have him on a fight card. Arum has a purpose. My first instinct was to see him lose but I haven't seen anyone predicting this yet.

If Arum can make money with a fighter, he will. Simple as that. You're trying to find fire when sometimes smoke is just smoke. I know 99% of the board thinks Arum is the devil, but he's a savvy business man, and atop the game for a reason.
