No his shoulder was dislocated... not once but twice. And then he fought on. And got a knockout. He could have chosen not to box on after the first dislocation. Or the second. But he bit down on his gum shield and got the win. With his one good arm.

 

Hall did fight on with one hand and was still winning and only quit when he had no hands, completely different scenario isn't it?

Honestly Jones did his best work in 3 and 4 and a fair bit of round 4 was against a 1 armed novice.

Round 3 I might be tempted to give to Jones but he still had a few troubles in that round and it was pretty even but I feel the wobble won Hall the round

Round 4 Hall was still figuring Jones out as he stepped up the pressure and when his hand went he forgot about fighting and was to busy worrying about the injury an inexperienced fighter will do these things.

 

Pretty much how I saw it. Injuries brought the fight to an end, but the writing was on the wall prior. Over-matched at this stage of his career against a boxer who knows his strengths and weaknesses and boxes accordingly. Maybe Hall will learn from this?

 

And? Ricky Burns had his jaw snapped and went on to win. I shall just start listing fighters who suffered worse injury than that and went on to win.

As shown by Mr Double JAB, Danny Williams with his shoulder sticking out found a way to win, all left hands, Hall had a left hand?

You at least try to find a way.

Bravery, heart, desire are three things Hall lacked last night, he was getting chewed up and wanted a way out and he found one.

I would bet my last pound coin at some point in the future he will quit on his stool to save himself or his corner pulls him out to save him. It's always easier the second time around.

 

No good having a 100% left hand when you have a 1% left shoulder, a torn muscle is a nasty injury to have?

You guys are just making it sound like it was a domination, but Jones was getting tagged up by a novice who had 1 arm and then when his shoulder goes what is he going to fight with his head?

 

The apparent shoulder injury happened and it was stopped within seconds.

 

Yes that is right, he backed off and quit because what else was he going to do head butt him?

Round 6 had just started and Jones came out fast but we all know rounds can ebb and flow, Hall was just covering up and defending and waiting for an opening.
He went to push him off and his shoulder went, two unlucky injuries but by no means was he a coward.

He took a big step up in class and had good moments and made a good account of himself neither injury was caused by Jones they were freak injuries.

I've done my shoulders a few times and the one time it was so painful i went into shock and have to have an ambulance (snowboarding not fighting)

I had to have a general to put it back.

I've also had it pop out and in which while horrible I could imagine being able to fight on. But with the first scenario no way

So there is levels to this but mostly you can't blame a fighter for 'quiting' if he dislocates his shoulder

 

I didn't have Hall up either, and I thought Jones was going to get to him anyway. Not going to dig him out about the injuries though
