That's me he's tweeting to. If the **** really is about to hit the fan on this one then it's a complete and utter disgrace

 

obviously nothing like as bad as paying 600 to go, but this fight was one of the main reasons why i subscribed to BN mid January. More interested in british boxing than the so called 'huge international fights' and although the domestic cards are few and far between, when he does put a decent card on, it always goes tits up. Will prob cancel after the murray fight

 

Is Ben making attempts to contact Frank's office?

Perhaps he is happy enough contacting an answering phone in Mexico.

 

Honest question - how much is Frank paying you?

Why contact Frank's office? Frank was saying the fight is on and selling tickets for it before Vasquez had agreed terms. We have video evidence of this, straight from the horses mouth. Now Frank is still selling tickets and Vasquez has told a journo that he's not coming over.

What use is contacting Frank going to do? He's going to say it's on, regardless of whether it is or not. I don't know why you had to interpret this as some kind of attack on your employer - a boxing journo has stated that Vasquez told him he is not coming over for the fight. Why shouldn't that be discussed here?

 

Vazquez would have to get in the country pretty soon, if he's going to acclimatise and settle at a new gym. The fight is supposed to happen in two weeks time, so unless he arrives very quickly, he wouldn't even be in proper fighting condition either, assuming the fight is on.

This whole thing is a disgusting farce. I'm gutted for those who have spent good money on tickets.

 

Aye, Gavin then Price. There is the March 16th, and Saunders on the 21st next month as Butler got put back. It's good having the international fights on, but to be honest i very rarely stay up til the early hours to watch them, and i don't have sky+ in my room (since you have to pay double subscription for having BN in 2 rooms), so i can't record them so have to watch it at 3 or 7 the next day - usually 7 as super sunday footy is on at 4. It is a nightmare keeping off twitter, east side, boxrec etc on the sunday until 7pm . They should have a repeat around 9 or 10am IMO

 

I really hope all this is just a matter of wires getting crossed for the sake of Burns and everybody who's paid in good faith. Have to say I've had an uneasy feeling the longer Walsh's opponent for a designated 12 rounder hasn't been named though. And now all this stuff blowing up in the last couple of weeks doesn't feel like a complete shock. Gotta give benefit of the doubt until anything official and hopefully this will just have been something over nothing.

The only thing he really said about it was that Ricky is a pro and will train 100% for whoever is put in front of them,
