One my favourite fighters, cast iron chin and big punch, also one of the best fighters of the last ten years not pick one of the four belts up. What are your thoughts on tackie?
I dont think he was near one of the best fighters not to win a title. He got exposed as very limited once he got to the top level and his record has been very patchy since. His chin is something else though..One of the best of this era and one of the best 140 has seen. I remember he had a fair bit of hype on him going into the Tszyu bout because many were predicting a repeat of the Phillips fight but a below par Kostya did that fight easily.
Tszyu gave him too much respect. I'm not sure that Tackie pushed him back that much at all; Kostya chose to box conservatively.
I was real high on him till he fought Tszyu. He lost almost every round to Tszyu and not by being outslugged. He was totally outboxed by Tszyu which really exposed him.
