Watching the Gloves are Off, you can clearly see the difference in body language. Cameron looks at ease with himself, calm, confident. Whittaker just says what he's meant to say, but you can see the doubt in his eyes, you can tell he's nervous about this fight. In terms of character and mentality, it's man versus boy.

I suspect Whittaker will be on his bike the whole fight, popping out ones and two's and keeping everything at range, I doubt he will want to get into a proper scrap this time. Does he have the engine or disipline to do that for the whole fight though?

If true, best guess Lawrence Okolie? He must have had a rematch clause vs CBS, and he wasn't afraid to take the legal route when he felt wronged by Matchroom.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's Jonas

    Very entitled in recent years

Every fighter that has left them has said how bad they are.

    Could legitimately be any

There must be a handful of people interested in watching Jonas fight and that handful must have been bored to tears watching Jonas fight on Sky Sports over the years.

Tip, tap, tip for 20 mins rinse and repeat.

A rematch with Price would have the same wide points decision after 10 rematches.

She's at the end of her career too. Think it more likely that a boxer sues a promoter if there's no chance if future work from them, otherwise you'd think they'd settle things quietly via a better deal on a future card?

Not sure what her beef would be though. She presumably did ok from their backing over the last couple of years?

Just finished The Gloves Are Off. By far, the most boring episode of it I've seen. You can see Whittaker didn't want to be there and was just going through the motions with his sarcastic answers. Despite the first fight, there's no genuine dislike between the two, the rivalry seems very forced and more of a ticket seller than anything else.

After watching the gloves are off, I thought at times Whittaker was being very petulant and I got the impression that Nelson was getting irritated by him.

    Did anyone guess Khan?

I think everyone who's worked with Boxxer have slated them, so it really could have been anyone

Oh she'd find something to complain about
Despite the platform SKY and Boxxer gave her after losing a number of fights, it seemed her and Joe always had an issue with how she was treated

    Two Things.

    (1) Does Khan not understand what the word "potential" means in this context?

    (2) Khan must be skint.

He never crossed my mind, but an ex boxer going after a promoter does make more sense than anyone who may still want to step into the ring again.

    3. Did Boxxer really have second thoughts on employing Khan as a pundit when they realised how woeful he was in the role, or was this clause carefully written as non-binding in order to get them out of paying him for subsequent broadcasts? That's what m'learned friends will have to determine at considerable expense.

Have thought about this a bit more. Savannah Marshall seems more likely.

She went public a few months ago after being promised a place on a card, turning up to the press conference as instructed then not even being at the table.

Edited a few hours later. Above post proved why it’s best to read the thread before responding with conjecture. :) Absolute mare on my part.

Khan’s lawsuit seems brainless, which God bless him, but it’s on brand. Perhaps he needs a few quid to pay the plasterer, who had been skimming the same ceilings for 5 years on the banqueting suite he was building.

As for this Whitaker rounds nonsense, this thing is mind numbing. I’m not a Whitaker fan, but outside of the rematch, nobody would give a monkeys if they never saw Cameron fight again.

The fight contact could have said 8, 10 or 12 rounds and the geezer would have signed it. The only reason QP took him under their banner was to irritate Boxxer or at the very least use him as an opp for Ezra Taylor, who they fancy.

The fight will be 10 rounds, end of story. As soon as they sent it, they basically owned up to the error straight away in February - this didn’t drop 5 mins ago, it was just a silly admin error. Liam has not been treated badly by any of this.
