Still feel robbed, I called the Cameron win on here yesterday at odds of 9/1 and Whittaker definately bailed here, I didnt lose much but at those odds it would have been a nice little win. How Whittaker has fooled anyone by showboating against journeyman is beyond me he was a highlight reel ko waiting to happen. He faced a live opponent and didn't like it, not one bit.
I liked Ben Whittaker as an amateur but after his unsportsmanlike behaviour at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games where he complained and sulked after a loss and didn’t give any acknowledgement to his opponent I went off him. It’s a shame because prior to the Olympics he seemed like a likeable, polite and respectful young man.
Noticed him ignoring his team when they were talking to him/giving him instructions, the arrogance from this lad. Has talent but the attitude is wrong, no issues with the showboating but I think he believes his own hype.
Why didn't he utilize his usual style/antic back there? (Ahem, come to think of it, he's lhw, so maybe his style/antic would, could overcome Beterbiev?)
Not surprised he got exposed. Naseem Hamed / Emanuel Augustus wannabe that's all flash and no substance.
Exactly....people forget, Deontay Wilder was a medalist as well. He's not exactly a great boxer nor have the IQ of one.......He just happen to know that his club punch would bail him out vs mediocre competition.
He doesn't wanna fight, Cameron beat the coward into him, it's a different game when the other guy is punching you back, you can tell he tried to get back and got dominated in his attempt. Took the easy way out. I saw Ben Quitacker get all happy when he was awarded a robbery decision against Khazakhs 2024 silver medalist Nurbek Oralbay, this is before Quitacker won his silver medal. Nurbek brought the fight to him and he looked lost in there, his slickster defense is full of holes and he kept getting tagged by everything Orabal threw. Cameron realized he could hit him easily and decided to out macho him, successfully.
