Gvozdyk never threw a powerful punch in the 12 rounds and limited himself to defending and throwing arm punches, it didn't look like he was planning to win that at all.
I don't know. Gvodzyk was/is training with Canelos people after his return. I'm not so sure Canelo would be pleased seeing Gvodzyk like that.
It's possible that Gvozdyk isn't hungry and was content with going the distance, but there were times where it wouldn't be hard at all to catch benavidez and he didn't do it one single time.
He spent two days in hospital with concussion after the Beterbiev fight then retired for 4 years. Since his comeback he has fought at a very low level. My assumption with this fight is that he took it for the money and his approach was purely designed to not take any punishment. I doubt we see him again. This fight was purely about getting a pay day.
He's severely declined. I don't know if he's shot completely like Kovalev is, for example, but he's not going to be a factor at championship level going forward.
