Canelo-Benavidez is the fight and Alvarez has nowhere to run except into Beterbiev's arms.

With a possible fight with Canelo on the horizon I don't see Benavidez facing a dangerous high risk low reward fight with Morrell.

Not an Alvarez's fan by any means, but he can't fight everyone in the division, if he fights and beats Benavídez people would start talking about Morrell or Andrade or Bivol or whatever, let both of them fight eachother, Morrell is a beast and can cause Benavidez all short of troubles

A very good fight, yes. Much respect to both.

I think Benavidez, or Morrell if he wins in a convincing fashion, is the only elephant in the room for Canelo at 168. Rather than see him chase the impossible at 175, I would prefer to see him cement his legacy at super-middleweight.

Benavidez might have missed the boat. I reckon he's been good enough during the last few years to have cleaned out the division, if he had gotten the chance. Now that he appears to be on the verge of this, Morrell has come along. That's the problem with the fragmented and corrupt world of pro boxing. If regulated like most sports Benavidez would have been the man for a couple of years already instead he may never get the chance. Not unlike Bererbiev at light heavy.

It's very possible as I think Canelo really wants that Bivol rematch in the fall, gotta get past Ryder first though.
Benavidez vs Morrell in July, make it happen. Morrell really needs to get after it on social media and hound Benavidez if he really wants that heat.

This fight is premature and can be billed as a major fight in a year or so. Hardcore fans know how good Morrell is but this fight will likely slip under the radar of most casuals.

Picked Morrell here even though I rate Benavidez so highly I think Morrell is on top right now.

As a fight fan I'm just happy this awesome contest is happening between two boxers that I view as being in their primes.

I'm laughing at those who believe this fight will happen.

Both Benavidez's and Morrell's natural weight class is at least cruiserweight. They are not brave enough to move to their natural weight class, instead they enjoy beating up smaller opponents at 168, using their size advantage.

They will never fight each other at 168.
