What is everyones problem with Benevidez?

    Just STFU.

Half of you idiots picked him to lose and now you are on here whining about nonsense and Claiming Gvozkyk took a dive and all other types of garbage....

An excellent and accurate analysis, I kept waiting for Gvozdyk to attack and he never let his hands go , for whatever reason.

Thanks. Yeah it was very peculiar. He looked comfortable throughout and he boxed more like it was sparring or an exhibition bout or something. There was no urgency or any real desire to win.

Benevidez was 189lbs at fight time.

Memo Heredia announced on Twitter that he didn't work with Benavidez for this camp.

I said they would be about the same weight or that Benavidez might even be heavier given how he reputedly weighed 195lbs against Angulo. Gvozdyk said he would come in at 190lbs and there's zero reason not to believe him given how he's one of the most refreshingly honest fighters you'll ever see.

He's just more muscular than Benavidez and the later has a bit of a weird body.

The fact that he weighed the same at 168 as the prime pre-retirement version Gvozdyk did at 175 was a dead giveaway they would weigh at least the same now.

FTR, 189 is Kovalev's highest recorded ring weight at 175 and 1lb more than big LHW Joe Smith weighed against B-Hop.

    Kovalev 181 - Sillakh 185

    Kovalev 183 - Agnew 187

    Kovalev 185 - Caparello 185

    Kovalev 188 - Hopkins 182

    Kovalev 189 - Pascal 185

    Kovalev 183.5 - Mohammedi 180.5

    Kovalev 186 - Pascal 185

Said he was 180-182 for Eleider Alvarez and Yarde and that he would be the same for Clenelo

So I think Benavidez is big enough for 175 but his ambitions to become a three weight champion seem unlikely now, unless it's against a small CW who is a favourable stylistic match up for him.
