I am impressed. I did not rate his power at cruiser and i was skeptical if his power could carry. I still want to see him vs someone better at cruiser (like Jai) to see how much his power actually carries. But what impressed me was the placement and variety of the shots. He was throwing all the standard shots- left hook to the head, straight right to the head, but he was also mixing it up with left hooks targeting the liver and even a right uppercut to the body. The right uppercut to the body is a great punch and a lot of fighters under use this shot. I am glad Benavidez was using it. Benavidez-Opetaia and Benavidez-Bivol are both amazing match ups. While i favour Opetaia and Bivol-Benavidez are 50-50, i think these would be exciting match ups.
