Benavidez is still young. He thinks he's experienced, but he's big. He's very good, but Canelo is gonna learn a LOT from the Bivol loss. Canelo physically is more developed than most fighters so he may be able to be more creative with his problem solving. If he got Bivols Canelo, he'd have won for sure. We'll have to see what kind of Canelo comes out.

Think Benavidez has size, speed, youth, stamina and hunger in his favour vs Canelo. That's a big advantage.

Canelo has advantages but this is why I go against him.

Alvarez allowed Bivol to do 3 things:

    1. Gage the distance

    2. Gage his power

    3. Fight at a very high pace.

Once Bivol had this down, in addition to having excellent foot work...which was by the 5th round, he outbox Alvarez. Now don't get me wrong, Bivol won rounds 1, 3, & 4 but they were close...from round 5 on, he dominated the rounds with the exception of round 9 , which Alvarez won.

What adjustment does Alvarez need to do:

    1. Don't let Bivol get accustom to the distance...switch it up.

    2. Don't load up on every shot. Mix in some light shot (touching shot) and some power shot. Don't let Bivol think every shot will feel the same.

    3. FOR GOD SAKES, FIX YOUR F*ing CARDIO. Bivol is the 1st opponent since GGG 1 that did not allow Alvarez to fight at his pace, thus exposing his legendary bad CARDIO. In the rematch, Bivol will fight at a high pace again...he won't allow Alvarez to rest & pace himself.

Does Saul have an uphill battle in the rematch, yes but that what separate the good one from the great one. Floyd rematch Castillo & Maidana and won their 2nd fight more impressively, Ward against Kovolev 2 because those fighters made the proper adjustment.

    Cotto/Margarito 2 - adjustments
    Jones/Tarver 2 - adjustments
    Joshua/Ruiz 2 - adjustments
    Charlo/Castano 2 - adjustments

The only problem is Canelo doesnt have any physical attributes over Bivol. Bivol is a better, bigger athlete for starters, who knows how to keep his range. He has better foot work, which helps in that case. Canelo had some moments, but Bivol was able to get off the ropes or move out of range pretty much when he wanted. Too much for Canelo. Don't be surprised if Canelo passes on the rematch.

Agree with you but physical attributes can be overcome...it's happen throughout boxing history. Saul will always be the smaller man, he started at 140 but he beaten fighter with skill.

Bivol right now is a level above, Saul needs to make adjustment to win and I think he can.

How? The fact that Canelo cannot get close enough, makes it almost impossible for him to outland Bivol. I don't believe Canelo seeks the rematch.
