Benavidez (Morrell) vs Yarde (Beterbiev)

Yarde has had contractual problems (in his opinion) over here since the Beterbiev fight, which is why he’s been so inactive and when he has actually got out, he has fought only journeyman.

Shame for him as he most likely would have boxed Bivol and Buatsi, but it seems his team think they knows best. Lost out on a fortune including Saudi money.

 

I like Benavidez and agree with this, even though Yarde is local to me and I have followed his career closer, seen him box live plenty of times etc. Benavidez has great attributes which is why we know Canelo wants nothing to do with him. Hope he continues his rise.

It does annoy me though that he’s got 2 of the main alphabet belts draped on him last night when he doesn’t own either and then he talks about unifying titles. Wake up David mate, they already have been unified by the two killers in the division and believe it or not there is already an undisputed champion (on paper, I though Bivol won. Roll on Feb 22).

 

Yeah, he`s harder to hit than Yarde and has a more skilled offense, he`d simply wear him down in a good fight, all Yarde has is power and fast hands.
