Confirmed for August 28th .. I like this fight...I'd rather see benavidez in with Canelo or plant....but I can get on board with this...I like uzcatagui...but I think he will get abit of a pummeling here

What’s plant going to say when benavidez pummels his best win?

I mean this is kinda equivalent to Bud just beating Brook. Uzcategai just got KO’d in his last fight so this does nothing more than keeping him active.

TBH it’s actually annoying when a cash cow is around a division everybody wanna take safe fights in hopes of being picked for the payday. Literally no fighter that’s top 5 in the 160 & 168 divisions is facing a top 10 opponent next. And that alone is a major reason these exhibition fights are having more buzz right now.

Uzcat will be dropped multiple times towards a merci stoppage about mid fight, I think.

yeah I agree it’s just I saw a recent interview where plant was talking bout how uzcategai is a better win than any of David’s.

now he can come and say it’s a faded uzi but It still won’t be a good look for plant.

Not sure what you're talking about. Uz was never stopped in his career.

You’re right he was dropped and lost by UD against a journeymen. He’s done this is nothing more than a fight to keep Benavidez active

Calling Lonnie B at 168 a journeymen level fighter is proving you don't know **** about boxing. Well, i knew it before but nice to get a confirmation. Thanks for your input buddy.

Until he gets a legit win vs someone other than Uzcategui he’s a journeymen/gatekeeper. He’s 35 years old and his last two wins before that fight were Sigmon 34-13 and Findley 33-27 when he was at LHW. I believe he beat Uzcategui because he’s finished. But you’ll know soon when he fights one of PBC’s SMW and get dominated.
