Many great fighters have used it, what are the benefits? And what is bad about this style?

I'm not at the gym everyday, I train at home the other days and sometimes there are things want to find out about. If you don't want to contribute then don't click on the thread, simple.

The biggest knock against it is you can't counter from that position watch Foreman vs. Holyfield many times when George covered with that defense it gave Holy the green light to tee off. and it can leave you quite open for left hooks.

  5. If you're shitting yourself and you have no answer, then thats the benefit of this guard.

Foreman could use it because he was huge and it stopped smaller guys from hitting up.

Its good for making people reach in, your giving away a target for the sake of a counter.

Cant counter from it and leaves your elbow and forehand out there if they rush with there head.
