One thing I would like to add is that after training when you are dehydrated, don't just drink as much water as possible. Add some sodium, or else you can actually still be dehydrated hours later.

H2O is needed for all the reactions in your body (known as metabolism). Things like respiration, digestion, protein synthesis etc.... all happen in the presence of water. But be careful. Too much water can change pH of blood, and increase water potential blah blah

but overall its good for you .....no scratch that ESSENTIAL for human life

There are none, you just need to stay hydrated.
You get plenty of water from food, drinking large amounts of water is pointless because you'll just mess up your electrolyte balance and **** it all away.
As Jdsm said it's best to have some sodium with your fluid if you want to rehydrate. If you want to stay hydrated you can sip on water throughout the day but there's no point in gulping down large amounts at any one time.
Being dehydrated isn't good, but there's no point in having lots of water just like there's no point in having lots of protein. It's a waste and possibly detrimental to your health.

I drink around 4 liters of water a day and the difference I feel personally are that I have more energy throughout the day. I usually just feel like crap when I go a long time without it.

I've been wondering if one type of water is better than the other. Like tap, purified bottle, or spring water..?? Anyone have any theories? I'd say spring since it has no chemicals..

The daily max recommended is somewhere around 68 grams I believe, that max being reserved for athletes or bodybuilders. Most people get enough protein (a lot actually get more than recommended), so as long as you eat 6-10 ounces of nuts/eggs/fish/lean beef a day and mix it up, you should be alright.

Lol. You think athletes and bodybuilders consume just 68g of protein a day?

  15. Some say tap water has high levels of estregon and so you should opt for bottled water but really i dont think it makes too much difference :good
