Because this would be at WW, I'm inclined to go with El Radar.....Chavez wasn't Duran in that regard.

It would be better to match them at light-welterweight.

I'd go with Benitez on points.

Prime Benitez, and would be the version that outclassed Roberto Duran, would have been cool as a cucumber in deftly outboxing Chavez over 15 rounds. He would have been at his radar best, and landing with more pop than did Whitaker to make Chavez respect him.

No doubt, an 154 pound version of Benitez beats Chavez.

The 17-18 year old that campaigned at 140? If Cervantes can get within a couple of points of beating him, give me Chavez by late stoppage.

He clearly won (144-141 on my card), but Cervantes was coming on down the stretch, and I think Chavez could do more with his pin point shots to take Benitez in the final rounds.

    Cervantes was painfully slow.

Benitez, by easy UD, easier than many would believe.

Benitez by clear decision. Would be a better fight at 140 though. I still like Benitez in a closer bout.
