Fun super heavy scrap on now, a Dominican musclebound Bermane Stiverne lookalike (by the surname Cortes) locking horns with an extraordinarily obese, balding southpaw. While the Stiverne clone has vastly superior technique and speed, and probably also power - his gas tank is **** and so apparently is his chin. He just got dropped twice by the few power lefts the fatty threw (casually fly-fishing with them); meanwhile Stiverne is zapping him repeatedly with flush power lead straight rights and the Butterball is just no-selling them.
Full-on assault by Cortes in a nice comeback from the double KD round. He keeps bashing lard-ass from pillar to post, albeit with about 50% clean blows and the rest a blend of stiff forearms and rabbit punches (when the fatty inevitably gets spun and bent over the ropes, with his chest pressing low into the highest one just to slingshot him into a spin facing the other way, so that his back now dangles halfway out of the ring while Cortes clubs at his moobs and throat.
Fight's over, not sure the result .. Now that I'm seeing a close-up shot, there is really no resemblance to Stiverne whatsoever. Just the same general build (although Cortes is smaller) and that stupid hairdo.
Undercard stream ended after one hour and twenty minutes, presumably going to be a new one up soon on their page for the co-main events.
Some kid named Ibarra just scored a vicious KO1 via liver shot, very early on. Maybe half a minute after the opening bell.
JoJo just proved my theory of him. When it comes to orthodox opponents, he is able to showcase elite level techniques. But i am 100% sure he doesn't really know what he is doing, It´s not that JoJo was unable to apply the same technique vs Russell, it''s just he did not know what he was doing. (You often see orthodox boxers fight for lead hand dominance vs a southpaw but rarely do so vs orthodox opponents)
It was, apparently, featherweight prospect Jesús "Baby Monsoon" Ibarra - who may just already be the face & budding young star of the Iron Boy Promotions stable.
