Welterweight 6-rounder next, I believe. No idea of their names, even with the volume blaring all the way up the audio quality is too bad to clearly understand the ring announcer.

 

Not hard to determine the identity of at least one participant in this match...the comments on the Facebook stream have been chock full of people asking when Trini Ochoa is going to fight, and now there is a DEAFENING chant of "TRINI!".

Kid is just 2-0 (debuted in April) but has a piping hot following already. Pretty good action so far in the first round, but very early to say if he actually has the sort of talent required to parlay that popularity into making it big in this biz...

 

Exciting style, I'll give him that. His opponent is starting to wilt in the second under a nonstop barrage of diving right hands on the body, although I'd like to see Trini aim them a little more tidily, execute them a little more fluidly (and in a straighter line) and not telegraph so much.

 

That was a 4-rounder, it turns out, and it was a blast. Ochoa probably shut his man out but it was still a thrilling free-for-all.

If he can button down his defense just a little he might have a prayer of going somewhere...otherwise he'll remain an uber-popular local draw with a very short prime and low ceiling.
