Well...I guess he did. Surprised they robbed the crowd fave with the comeback story & fan-friendly style. Usually in this situation you would expect the decision to undeservedly go the way of somebody in Hernández's position, not Yong's. That said, there were a couple of rounds on my card that were close enough I could see them going Yong's way, but only far enough to stretch it to a draw or maybe him slightly edging it. 79-73 for him, though, is bonkers.
You could actually cut about 50% of that fight and upload it to one of those sites with videos titled something like "OMG, you will never believe what happened when I visited my local 24 hour Walmart".
I just don't really care either way about either of them, and not sure where people got to believing it had FOTY written all over it. When I spotted it on BoxRec my reaction was literally "oh". Like, okay, that other guy from the same Olympic class as Jose Ramirez and Oscar Valdez (but whom I've consistently found to be a chore to watch in the pros, by far the most boring of the ballyhooed London Games veteran Latinos trio) is taking on that one ass clown that fought ancient Jorge Arce years back and then mouthed off about it forever. Meh. Even crunching the figurative numbers in my head based on somewhat foggy recollections of watching both of them, the clash of styles didn't really speak to my soul.
Okay, never mind, that was just a minute of chicanery and dancing backstage. The actual fight will be soon broadcast on a SIXTH and (hopefully) final stream in a separate FB post. I'm guessing as soon as ring walks start, in the next few minutes.
