Benjamin Whittaker vs. Liam Cameron II & Lee Cutler vs. Sam Eggington - Round by Round.

Despite winning the 1st round. I did think BW kept getting caught by Camerons left jab.

Thing about Mo is he has the voice and appearance to be a frigging great MC but the constant shouting gesturing and calling himself "Big Mo" let him down

 

Not often I call a clean sweep but I'll take this.

Clarke finished his fight with some good clean heavy shots to exorcise his demons of the Wardley 2 fight. I can though understand why Tetteh was upset with the stoppage but all the same, an impressive Job Done from Fraze. 50/50 on "was it too early a stoppage or not"?

Denny got the W against a fighter who, I feel, it can be difficult to look good against. Elvis has some basic ingredients but needs to be with a more expansive coaching set up to bring a more refined element to his game rather than his wild lunging right handed swinging. A funny one because I could see him being a fun decent addition to our domestic scene for the up and comers with some coaching refinements and improvements.

Sam was involved in his usual war, this time with Lee. I honestly had no idea who would have their arm raised as both men gave their all for 8 Rounds. A shame that the fight was concluded 2 Rounds early but it wouldn't surprise me if this fight is re-run sometime this year / early next year.

Lastly, to Ben and Liam. I am no fan of Ben due to his cheap arrogant unnecessary show boating against the journeymen he has fought to date.
However...
Last night, he went in focused for once, no silly dossing about antics and he got the job done in a good clean fashion. That is all we want to see. None of the other silly nonsense. Although he did let himself down with the spit coming out of his mouth. Accidental / Deliberate? Only he knows. I still don't think he carries the required pop to trouble those higher up the food chain but fair play last night. In, Job Done, Out.

Oh... and Post Fight, it was good to see both Callum Simpson and Dave Cardwell call Johnny Nelson out for the rubbish he was spouting.

@Bfcad those Mini Eggs lasted about One Round of the Sam v Lee fight!

 

Fitzy dropped Fowler in the 10th of a 10 Rounder to win 96-93 on my card.

I gave Fowler R1, 2, 3 and 9.
I gave Fitzy R4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10.

Against Ted, I scored it like this.

Ted R1, 2, 3
Fitzy R4, 5, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

R6, 7 and 8 could have gone either way. Very close rounds to score imo. Ted was moaning post fight about "being robbed" when at best, it could have been a draw for himself regards the scoring of R6, 7 and 8. He wasn't however complaining in his next fight when he was gifted the decision v Eggington.

A shame that this particular scene and boxers didn't explode onto the world scene / fight each other more.

 

He’s just packed out an arena on Easter Sunday in a fight a lot of people will have watched. Be mad to go and sign with Hearn.

 

His promoter keeps dropping massive gaffs and made him look dreadful in the build up.

If I was him I'd 100% want Sky but wouldn't want to be anywhere near Shalom.

Also I do think there is more of a chance Shalom will be frozen out of Saudi after all this nonsense.

It was messy and a bad look no doubt, i could be wrong but I seriously doubt Turki is going to care in the slightest about if a British level fight should of been 10 or 12 rounds let alone be outraged enough to freeze them all out. He seems to just want to make fights

Spot on. All of my mates are saying how much they can’t stand him but they all tuned in to watch.

People saying he got booed in his hometown but over 11,000 paid to watch and put money in his pocket.

 

Yes huge exposure on Sky Sports compared to an out of sight, out of mind DAZN UK streaming only platform with a few hundred UK subscribers.

I expect a merger at some stage between Matchroom and Queensbury with many of the Queensbury fighters jumping ship to a promoter on Sky when they realise they are virtually invisible to the public.

 

Was just getting into the fight then came the stoppage, ridiculous. I do think Whittaker would of won and fair play to Liam he took it really well.

I don't really follow Whittaker like that so could someone tell me exactly what he went through??
Andy Lee was saying not many could of got through what Ben has been through etc, what happened to him?

 

Just a lot of people saying he spewed it in first fight. Might have hurt more because a lot of fighters shared that opinion
