Been has taken too many punches it seems. Joe would have beaten him and maybe Leonard as well because of the higher weight, but as Ive stated in the another thread, Hearns and Hagler both beats him. The best fighter Joe has beaten was 43, and that speaks for itself, and now people choose him to beat all time great fighters such as these. Okay. :-(

I like Joe a lot and his style, but lets be serious. Even in Hopkins( at that stage) hes never fought anyone like Hagler or Hearns.

I don't know if it's a great accomplishment to be able to beat ATGs when you're several weight classes above their prime weights, and even then he'd be in life and death fights with all of them. Joe Calzaghe is great (he won me over in the Kessler fight), but let's compare him to natural middleweights and higher.

:rofl at Benn....Joe wouldnt have beaten a prime Hopkins and he wasnt as good as any of those fighters....Joe was good, but lets get real here, Hopkins and Jones was a average age of 41 years old...Lacy and Kessler arent that good, and that pretty much sums up Calzaghe career:good

Calzaghe would have fought Hopkins and Jones earlier if they hadn't been ducking him. Jones even admitted it in a BBC interview. Once they had nothing to lose then they finally got in the ring with him.

I was going to say his size would give him an advantage.

Joe is a hell of a fighter, he would be a tough fight for anybody in history at 168

I'm a big fan of Hearns but there is no damn way that he beats Calzaghe at 168.
