Even Hagler would look small next to Calzaghe.

Joe UDs all of them at super middleweight, that cant be disputed really, maybe you can make a case for Marvin, but for his entire career he weighed comfortably under 160, often comin in at 157/58, his success against the best super middleweight ever would be a question mark.

Yeah, this can't be disputed really, there is literally no history whatsoever of a superior smaller boxer moving up and defeating an inferior slightly bigger boxer. :patsch

It can be disputed all you want but the answer will never be known - even if you put calzaghe as an underdog - there is literally no history whatsoever of an underdog ever winning a fight :patsch

Your obsessions with Calzaghe has been laughable. You continue to state that Joe was a very good boxer but no one special, but he seems to pose some sort unstoppable interest for you, you post the most out of any poster of the subject of Calzaghe, including the most avid Calzaghe fans!

Fact is Calzaghe is a great fighter, he does belong in that ATG bracket, he will be a shoe in for the HOF. If you beleive and over sized Ray Leonard could match the best 168lb fighter at 168lbs goes to show your own naivity(hatred).

Yawn. A typically moronic post. My position on Joe C is always the same: very good boxer. But I believe Hagler would have soundly beaten him. Nowhere did I say I think Leonard would beat him, take a literacy test soon.

    Have you seen Hagler fight?

Your response is "the answer will never be known". Wow, that's a really valuable comment in a hypothetical discussion. Great post, keep them coming genius.

    :patsch

Nigel Benn can say what the **** he wants. How can folk react as if he's said something that isnt even possible.

The toughest one there is Hagler and seeing as Hagler is Benn's hero im gonna assume he's watched a fair bit of him and as he has zero reason to build up Calzaghe, but favours Calzaghe, im not gonna disagree too much or lose sleep over his call, let alone react as if he just said he could KO Ali.

how can you argue with benn, great guy who knows what he is talking about because he has been there and done it .he has probably watched all those fighters listed as if he was studying to fight them himself and has realised joe would be the cream.
he can judge better than any of us as he was a boxer so unless you are a pro boxer how can you argue.
