Benn, Collins, Watson, Eubank, Calzaghe...rank them definitively explaining why.

Wether that is wrong or right it doesn't change my point that you can't use one common fighter to prove 1 guy is better than the other.

Just look at the Ali, Frazer, Foreman triangle.

Watson was extremely rusty against McCallum and had the wrong tactics entirely - fighting a completely different style to his usual game. McCallum was about as sharp as he ever was that night on his return to the Albert Hall, much of that down to the fact he had a perfectish warm-up fight against light-hitting, hard-chinned Collins (who was coming at him from all angles and shipping loads).

Watson just moved in straight-forward, stood still in front of McCallum, blocked more than anyone ever did against him but still...the wrong tactics entirely against McCallum. He kept up with him though and gave it a right go.

and just to throw it into the mix, how would we rate herol graham againstthis lot. i know he achieved less than all of them in terms of titles but i suspect he could have beaten all of them apart from maybe calzaghe....

Ive tended to be agreeing with you up till this point, it think your talkign a load of nonsense.

First Hagler/Hearns was NOT one was traffic hence the name 'the war', Haglers face was a bloody mess and he took some really good shots, Hearns was still in the till his grinning mug took a full on shot.

Secondly your reasoning that basically 1st round KO's dont show the better fighter??? I dont know where to start with that, its like saying we dont really know whos better out of Hatton and Pacman.
If Barkley gets his arse caught big in the first round, the likelyhood is that over 12 rounds it wouldve happend anyway.

I like to Benn to take Herol. The speed of his power right was second to none and Herol pulled back from them where Benn liked to release it after bending down in front of you - Herol couldn't turn Benn or circle him from that spot or he'd risk being hooked.

I think Herol beats the rest, although Watson could stop him down the stretch provided he tucks up early and picks/times his shots before stepping it up. Maybe. But I'd go with Herol points if I was threatened at knife-point to place a bet.

Watsons unlucky when discussing our golden era ya know, boxed wonderfully when beating Benn and through bad judging and tragedy just missed out on beating Eubank twice. Had a lot of issues outside the ring of course causing inactivity and bad lead up to the McCallum fight who was on good form that night. I wouldnt say he tops the list but he vies with Collins for 4th spot. TFFP list was spot on for me

It was a tragedy what happened to Michael Watson, but technically Chris Eubank found a way to win that fight. He never stopped fighting, and never accepted defeat, never once did he accept defeat. Chris Eubank got up off the canvas, to find a way to win.......and tragically he did.

You cannot take that away from Chris Eubank, these are just the terrible things that can happen in this sport. And Michael Watson is a great man and fighter for coming back from it...

Chris Eubank is number 1, out of all of them in my opinion.

No it's not, it's not even close to being the same thing. In fact that's probably the dumbest thing that's not Eubank related I've heard on this thread.
