Your telling me to Face Facts!! Do you not see the irony in that??

I'd say Lewis overall was very much the equal if not better than Tyson though...which is my point regarding Collins...

Yes but lewis beat better fighters than tyson thorugh his career name the great wins collins got apart from past prime eubank and benn, i thought he lost to 90% of the other top guys he faced.

Eh no thats not the point... I never said Collins was better, I just took exception as to the way people were dismissing him as if he was not worthy to step in the ring with the others......Going back to Richard Dunne, I never said he was great or one of the best defenders in the league, I was just jumping to his defence because some fans have this perceived notion that he is **** without looking at the facts or his performances......

Firstly I dont believe Eubank was neccesssarily past it....

Secondly Eubank and Benn don't exactly have a long list of 'prime' opponents on their list of wins!

    Eubank
    Benn
    Calzaghe

Collins doesnt make my list cos the man had no class. he beat eubank twice yet still acted the **** afterwards, like he still had something to prove. i was a big eubank fan tho.

The point is both times you have been 'shocked' how someone has not rated on of the irish guys, in the case with collins this thread has come up before and ever time no matter what people have said in the thread he is always bottom because people don't think he is as good as the other three. He is a little like calzaghe as he didn't get his best wins till near the end of his career but like joe some of those wins are tarnished by the respective levels of the other fighters at that time. I have no doubts steve collins was a very tough guy and a pretty good boxer but irish or not he deserves to be bottom of the list.
In regards to dunne he was pretty **** last year and as an aging defender your only as good as your last season so you might be right and he could come back well or he might be passed it and carry on declining, you don't see to many 30 year old defender regain that form.

Always the best way to judge a fighter I feel......

Interesting the way you feel collins had no class yet Benn had enough class to make the list. The same Nigel Benn who continued celebrating after beating Mclellan, whilst he was being carted away in an ambulance.....
    Double standards?? I think so.

Listen mate, i'm starting to think your not reading my posts here cos your not making any sense.
I'll say this one more time, i'm only defending collins because some people were writing lists with big gaps between third place and collins as if to emphasise how '****' he was in their eyes, which in my view id Bollocks...

    Calzaghe
    Benn
    Eubank
    Collins

All very good fighters with Calzaghe the only one bordering being great.

I've said this time and time again, British fans are so pissed off that Collins beat Benn and Eubank twice each that they come up with every excuse in the book for not rating these wins. All this past it talk is pure nonsense. Collins deserves to be higher than both Benn and Eubank due to him beating them not once, but twice. He would have beaten them both in their primes too. :D
