why do you keep bringing up nationality?? If Collins was American, well then I probably would not be talking about him, but not because he would be American but because I probably would not be following his career as closely as Collins.
Its simple, the Benn Eubank Collins trilogy was a big deal over in this part of the world (UK & Irl) therefore I got to watch all these guys frequently and so know more about them than I do an american boxer who I rarely see fight.
Your constantly bringing this nationality thing with Irish posters. I could do the exact same thing with British, American , Puerto Rican , Mexican posters, but I dont cos they probably have valid points to make about the boxers who they follow!

I'd personally have it like this

    1. Calzaghe
    = 2. Benn, Collins, Eubank

I feel bad for not including Watson who was a great fighter and should have not been thrown in to these fights so early. My theory about his collapse against Eubank is that he suffered a brain injury during the Mcallum fight ( similar to G-Man).

yeh its sad to see any boxer go away from a fight with brain damage. Would have been interesting to see him fight Collins.

Calzaghe was the best, and the other 3 are near-equals.

    Collins
    Eubanks
    Calzaghe
    Watson
    Benn

it is so simple to rank them without calzaghe.
    it can't be other way.
their peaks weren't as far from one another as the catholic church declared.
    Collins:Eubanks 2(0):0 , although close
Collins:Benn 2(2):0 , benn wasn't old , collins was same age and had some tough fights earlier
    Eubanks:Benn 1(1):0:1
    Watson:Benn 1(1):0 , prime benn
    Eubanks:Watson 2(1):0 , should have been more like 1(1):0:1 or 1(1):1(0)
Calzaghe:Eubanks 1(0):0 , calzaghe was never stopped , although faced byron mitchell (maybe already shot by then) i think mitchell was the most dangerous oponent (in stoppage risk) of his career.
Benn simply never won against any of these , and probably would have lost to calzaghe also , calzaghe had better chin than him.
so why calzaghe below eubanks ? because calzaghe's oposition was much much lauzier than eubanks , that's why . but i can tolerate him being above eubanks. maybe even 1st (harder to tolerate , but who knows). one thing for sure - calzaghe is the lowest achiever of them all , maybe except watson , but remember that watson's career was cut short because of his injury. collins' also in fact. he just may have been the 1st glen johnson style loss on roy's resume.
