Benn/EubankII; Big fish in a small pond...

He was getting thrashed by Nunn till the late rounds and caught Nunn with a good shot. People make out it was some sort of tactical genius, but it was good luck and his innate talent for spotting opportunities. Hen was running close with Jirov until the final round and the KD. it was a good fight, but Jirow wasn't some absolute god. Holyfield was old and shot - and it seems Toney was on the juice considering what happened with Ruiz (who he did beat clearly by cheating).

Toney's a good fighter, but not the awesome force his huggers make him out to be. Calzaghe would have thrashed him, Eubank would have beaten him in a close decision, Benn might have gotten sparked by Toney's countering.

Toney and Nunn certainly would have been favoured to beat both of them at the time. In hindsight, Nunn had slipped dramatically from where he'd been a few years earlier, and lost to Steve Little in his next fight (Feb.'94).
I think Toney would have beaten them both too. Roy Jones Jr. would have obviously.

Having said that, Benn was a massive underdog against McClellan. But Toney just had the skills to beat these guys.

As for Herol Graham, he was the top middleweight in the UK at the time of the Benn-Watson-Eubank fights 1989 - '91.
