A journalist would, but Koogs, along with much of the boxing media has a symbiotic relationship with a small number of promoters. I think the parameters of acceptable questions are agreed before the camera rolls and this question will never come up, except in such a way as to allow Eddie Hearn to sidestep it.
Grow up man youe being ignorant. What fully grown man (especially a professional athlete) doesnt go around picking up random tablets and taking them in the hope of its paracetamol and eat 75 eggs with each meal.
Kugan shouldn't be considered an option to derive information in any serious capacity, he has the professionalism and integrity of an old shoe
Kugan is actually a dumb beyond belief, weapons grade, certified idiot. He's one that follows what everyone else is saying and he rarely says anything of insight. I know it's not his job to produce insightful statements but when you hear someone asking him a question, you can literally see the cogs turning in his head. He's so devoid of any kind of significant opinion on anything boxing, it's embarassing. He's just someone who loves the lifestyle that it's given him rather than loving the job. I get that not everyone likes their job but from where he started, 10/15 odd years ago, to now, you cannot see a single iota of difference in interviewing style. He's still the same clueless blithering fool he was, back when he started. Like I've said many times, he's more interested in who's shagging who, who's hooking up with who. That's what really gets the fat coughing slobbering mess, going. So anyway, back to Benn. He's a twaat.
Is Benn, now without much of a following, without the Eubank fight really worth the aggro and reputational damage to Hearn? How has he weighed this up and come to the conclusion that he should stick with him and peddle his BS on his behalf?
Some may argue it's arrogance, banking on his ability to control the narrative, but I wonder if it is really weakness? A lots been invested in benn, they need stars and controversy for that matter, to keep matchroom and dazn in consumers thoughts in the absence of the Audience reach of sky or BT. They are savvy operators so they must've calculated that the reputational damage is worth incurring. Maybe they're right, but if I were Dazn I'd be a lot less sanguine about having my brand associated with such a low point in British boxing.
Is Kugan even a journalist? Matt Christie and Danny Flexen are, Kugan is more a chancer with a camera. Clearly a former DK man. I think the best summary of Kugan is provided by Tyan Booth
