Disingenuous from Hearn to keep trotting that line out. Basically he needs a boxing organisation and a country's governing body to turn a blind eye to Benn repeatedly failing drugs tests with no evidence to suggest he's innocent. WBC have already said they don't care and will still take the cash, then he just needs the same answer from any country willing to stage it. Great how it's just taken for granted that Hearn himself has no morals and would definitely be happy promoting the thing.
Hearn has the option to do what Frank Warren did to make Haye vs Chisora in the UK. Got around the ban by having the Latvian Boxing Association host the fight in England.
I know of numerous examples of boxers who have been tested positive, but if it were boxers who generate large amounts of money, the test was exchanged or thrown away. I want to stress that I haven't heard anything regarding AJ. Let's take it easy. There are so many rumors online...
Might be best not to encourage AJ rumour talk in this thread in case it get's out of control and causes the thread to to be deleted ?
It’s frustrating because Algieri is clearly one of the more intelligent boxers out there, so why did he sign to box Benn when he knew this. We know he doesn’t need the money.
