If CEJ died in the ring Saturday night, genuinely where would this leave everyone? Wasserman & Matchroom would surely be in deep ****?
That's what I have been saying...its all very well having a scrap of paper with both fighters want to fight on it but if something really nasty was to happen. The Police, legal folk and courts would be involved in no time. The fight can't really go ahead but they are clearly trying to keep it on. If it does happen its a fight to watch with the commentary off it will be the whole tale of the fight. The fight never sat right with me for several reasons but it had the potential to be entertaining
This is the thought that should make people realise what a parasite Hearn is. His first thought is money. It’s fine for a fighter to die so long as his kids and their kids are set for life. That’s his legit mindset on this. Anyone with a conscience and even the smallest levels of self awareness and regard for the well-being of others would not go ahead with the fight with this cloud over it. By all means try to postpone it. But to press ahead is just pure greed and selfishness. Hearn is not like us. He’s a total parasite who simply does not care about others.
CEJ absolutely wants the fight to go ahead , let's not forget that, if he didn't the fight would 100% be off on Saturday.
The way he does a 180 on his bold statements in the recent past, I'm expecting the fight to be announced as an officially sanctioned bout by the Lithuanuan Boxing Board of Control in the next couple of hours. "it's totally legit Kooogs, their reputation for catching drug cheats is second to none, they haven't caught a single one yet. Apples and Pears and all that"
He'll just do what he's done for the last 24 hours. Throw a load of words out like legalities, commissioning etc and hope it confuses the casuals enough to just move on.
I understand but the whole point of having authorities is to save people from themselves in these instances. BBBoC has been explicit in forbidding the fight so that’s an example of exactly that happening in practice. Yet Hearn is contesting it.
I think it hinges on what reason they are giving for prohibiting the fight, it cant be on the grounds of a failed drugs test as they don't recognise VADA as the testing agency here.
If the Vada test proves he had the banned substance in his system, Which quite clearly it does. Surely the board have a right to call the fight off? Regardless of where the result came from. Would also be good if going forward VADA and UKAD would work together on these things
The board appoint a testing agency for a reason , not to then discard its results and take them from an alternative source.
