Issue is, that Joe Gallagher interview a while back, "Keep delaying the contracts being signed" the longer you delay it the more you can keep juicing. So the 6 week lead up to the fight probably doesn't matter too much
How much are they talking about this Eubank-Benn fight nearly being done and it not being done. Jesus get it on or shut the **** up about it.
how do you know every little detail and inside knowledge. Do you watch every single interview Eddie Hearn and Frank Smith do on youtube and take notes?
I get the impression it is no closer to being done at all. Just more lip service from Hearn designed to keep Benn's name in the media. If Hearn was fool enough to have Benn fight in the UK before the drug stuff was concluded, it would have happened by now.
Wonder why they have gone for Spurs stadium. All the talk before was Wembley as it was the supposed biggest fight in UK boxing. Wonder why they have changed to a stadium that seats 30,000 less?
It's far from an official body though. It might be affiliated with some of the more official ones and qualify for insurance but it's weird for two supposedly world-ranked boxers, one of whom isn't far from a title shot, to fight under the same "governing body" as Misfits. Shows how low this promotion has got, thanks to Benn's past form.
It's a cost issue apparently, at least that's what I'm told. Matchroom had to hire the Cardiff stadium as well in order to have somewhere to store conors fight week egg requirements, so there wasn't enough money left to book Wembley.
As if by magic. I may look into producing toilet roll with the rankings of the various alphabet bodies marked on it.
I hope WBC has fixed all the issues with their clean boxing program that Conor and his mates flagged up in their 280 page document.
Seems legit, the win he had over Orozco and a year and half ago against Van Heerden definitely puts him up there with the likes of Crawford, Spence, Ennis, Ortiz Jr and Stanioness. Miles better than Santillan, Cowley sand Avanesyan.
Boxing is just trolling itself at this point. At the point in giving up with it now, serious question - is it even a credible sport anymore
It's a fantastic sport run by morons and the most morally bereft people on the planet. For many years I've had this dream that all the fighters get together and create a union that decides to collectively dump all of the belts and forget about them, never going to happen, but be worth seeing these organisations fold and we never hear from them again.
