I agree and I have been guilty of it in the past a few times maybe, but in this scenario I'm just pointing out that that poster was incorrect. Also if you look at a lot of the posts when this was announced during the press conference (before the broadcaster was announced), a lot of posters here were revelling in the fact Joshua was fighting on a pure Queensberry show (which isn't the case), rather than Joshua getting in the ring for the 3rd time this year against a solid heavyweight. This content is protected If this happens Buatsi vs Azeez must surely get cancelled. It would be a shame for it to clash with this show.
Two questions: 1. Will the fight take place if Benn not cleared? 2. What happened to both of these Charlatans going after the belts?
BBBoC moans about being ignored, but ultimately does nothing. Nothing technically wrong at the time of fighting etc.
Don't know if you caught the Harlem Eubank fight on Channel 5 recently? Chris Eubank senior was in attendance and post fight both he and Harlem were on the same page, calling out Conor Benn. I wasn't sure whether it was mischief or a genuine attempt to make the fight, but it seemed an odd strategy if Junior was looking to make the fight with Benn next. Maybe he's got an opponent lined up who doesn't come with all the baggage that will follow Benn?
If time is a priority to Benn he should have considered that when he deliberately stalled and derailed the process from the very beginning.
The Sheriff has been consistent that he doesn't want any part of Young CHRIS vs BENNE since hearns junior tried to contractually maim the young warhorse with his snidey brain water clauses.
Didn't you read the script? It was Eggs, no, actually it was a fault with the testing procedure, no, hang on, something to do with genes......well, whatever it was,its important that we remember he is the real victim here. The perpetual victim. Don't you know, its always someone else's fault
Robert Smith has been on talksport this morning saying an application for the fight to licenced by BBBofC has been rejected - their prerogative, but why is this guy talking about this on talksport ? seems wholly unprofessional on his part. Its like the head of FIFA going on the radio to discuss the Everton points deduction or something .
He's a drug cheat who hasn't proven his innocence mate. Deserves to be shamed. Correct decision from the board.
Oh I agree , in all likelyhood guilty as and agree that the fight should not go ahead , but I just dont think the head of British Boxing should be sounding off on radio or TV
I don't blame him at all. He's had a year of Eddie and Benn coming out with excuses and accusations and been legally limited to any responses. If I was Robert Smith I'd take great pleasure in knocking the little cheat back
