Which is a fair position to take even though the NADP cleared him. What I can't accept is Benn being cleared but because people don't belive his innocent that should mean he can't fight. That's not really how a hearing should be adjudicated.

Incorrect. UKAD investigate and then charge athletes if necessary, in essence becoming the prosecution. UKAD cannot be prosecutor as well as the judge. That's a conflict of interest and why the NADP have the responsibility of adjudicator in deciding whether an anti Doping rule violation has been committed.

If it was left to UKAD to make that call athletes would not be given a fair hearing as UKAD would not rule against there own charge.

As for the jurisdiction issue. Nobody who claims this was why Benn had his suspension lifted has provided any evidence proving that to be the case.

The hearing was done behind closed doors and neither the NADP or UKAD put out the report of the hearing explaining the reasons why the suspension was lifted. I assume this will become public knowledge once the appeal process is complete.

The board may feel like they haven't been provided with the answers they want but that is not there decision to make. They and UKAD presented a case to the NADP as did Benn.

If we are saying that ruling was pointless and a lifting of suspension still doesn't allow Benn to aquire a licence then the question should be why the heck was a hearing done? To prove Benns guilt and nothing else will be acceptable? That isn't what I would call due process.

I'm really not sure how Benn popped dirty and fully accept he could have been juicing. However the ones making that call can work within the parameters of the case procedures and if they feel like no violation was done then that decision needs to be upheld. It's fine to disagree with such a decision but if it's not upheld we might as well not bother with such tribunals.

Haha is that Eddie or Frank Smith?

That post must have taken you quite a while to write.
And still nobody believes Ben is innocent.

Just because you come out with all the technicalities doesn't change the fact that Benn failed 2 drugs tests and 99.99% of people believe he is a cheat. Plain and simple.

Which is fine. However these matters are not ruled by public opinion and nor should they be.

That's true but sadly for Matchroom it's the public are the ones that pay to watch the fights.

There's not many people would like to see Benn make millions off the back of his 2 failed drugs tests.
It doesn't matter if you can get Benn cleared on a technically as he will always be seen as a drugs cheat by most.

None of that will stop a Benn v Eubank fight doing huge numbers.

Tyson Fury never cleared his name and the discourse since his failed test would make one think Fury failing a drug test never actually happened.

Look at Jon Jones in the ufc. Multiple failed tests but the vast majority of fans do not care.

All true. When Benn started talking about this affecting his mental health, I fully expected him to have a hiatus, work as an occasional pundit on DAZN and then come back when he was "mentally ready". Fury had a 2.5-year back-dated bender.

Jon Jones is a world champion whereas Benn is a very mediocre fighter living off his dad's name. No one likes him

He hasn't got a fan base and he's no Mayweather who people would pay to get beat.

I don't think Benn Vs Eubank Jr will do half as much as Matchroom think. None of my casual friends are interested in the slightest and if Benn isn't allowed to fight in the UK they will lose out on any decent ticket revenue.

Correct and Hearn has lied and lied that it wasn't for jurisdictional reasons.

It's like April 23 all over again 'he will be out in June Koogs'. Has there ever been a bigger case of deja vu in boxing?

If this is true then we will never see CB fight again, I'm sure enough fans will pay to watch him fight again though.
