As a long term wrestling fan I get it and kind of become the 'mark' who buys into it. I bought the Haye-Bellew PPVs. But several years detached I can see how much we were all conned.

We've seen plenty of it in the past. Joshua really struggled with the clean-cut gentleman persona that Matchroom crafted for him, to the detriment of his boxing if you ask me.

But with Benn, I think he really is that damn unlikeable. If it turns out the surly, petulant just all-round horrid character we always see from him is actually an act and he's really a lovely chap, then he needs to forget the boxing and get himself over to Hollywood.

I don't think Hearn has had the same influence over Benn. I think he's just been happy focusing on the 'Nigel Benn's son' selling point. I'll bet deep down Eddie wishes he wasn't in so deep after all the scandal, and he'll drop Conor like a stone after he's milked him for whatever PPVs he can.

I'm not into women but I acknowledge that the number girls are part of the show.
