Similar situation to when Thomas Hauser was the whistleblower when Dillian Whyte tested positive against Rivas. Hearn was his usual : 'Nothing to see here. Nothing to see here' until Hauser spoilt the party with some public honesty.
So since this story broke, the home of up to date latest news in boxing,IFL socials have reported on....... -an interview with Alex Krassyuk -Tsyus purse for his next fight -Prime Froch vs Prime Bellew at 175lbs,who wins (yes, that is a real post) -Ray Ford pulls out of 5vs5 card And not a single mention of an appeal win in the Benn case I wonder why! Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see who's pocket they are in
If you spent a fortune on clearing your name and had clear cut evidence that you were innocent you'd think you would want to share it with the world? Not Conor 'PPV Baby!' Benn
A couple of recent quotes from Conor Benn : “My name matters more to me than anything else." "I'm willing to spend every last penny I have and fight to the death to prove my innocence." Dear Conor, You have damaged your reputation irreparably and as for proving your innocence, all you've succeed in so far is wasting time and money making the situation worse for yourself. Man up. Face the music and accept the time for your crime.
Going off tangent mate, Have you seen that podcast with that spencer guy. It's unreal they are so clueless didn't even know Zhang is a warren fighter. Incredibly poor.
I would imagine that when the ban becomes ‘official’ he won’t be allowed to box anywhere (well anywhere of standard). I think Nevada’s stance was that he wasnt banned at the time so they allowed him to fight in their jurisdiction but when the ban gets put back in place then there’s no chance they would allow him to box over there.
Most sane pundits, journalists, ex-fighters and trainers have been saying Benn should face the board from the offset. Backing the BBofBC into a corner, threatening them with legal action and telling them to "do one" hasn't really worked out. The legal costs must be huge, his reputation hasn't improved with the public, if anything it's even worse than before and in two years he still hasn't fought in the UK. What an absolute mess. It would be nice if this whole experience brought some humility to Hearn and the way he throws his weight around, but I doubt it.
