Pretending to want to fight the big names is Conor's other signature dish besides those things that come before chickens
I'd have more respect for Benn if he called out Harry Scarff and fought for The British Title. Of course, he needs first of all to say "Sorry, I was a divvy and I'll accept my Ban" to The BBBoC. Neither will happen.
Algieri’s trainer Derek Santos telling it like it is : “Under different circumstances the fight with Chris would have gone differently, look at Manny Pacquiao, an eight-time world champion, he dropped Chris several times and every time he got up. All of a sudden, Benn who is not known to be a knockout puncher, knocks him out completely. Benn has provided us with almost irrefutable evidence of exactly why performance enhancing drugs are and should be illegal. It is the purest form of cheating a boxer can resort to and in the case of Benn, they made him a completely different fighter. Take that illegal advantage away and Benn was back to being a plodder in his most recent fights.
Have to assume Benn is now serving a suspension. The only uncertainty being how long it is for and nobody appears to be in a hurry to tell us.
If they've all signed confidentiality clauses which I believe they have, then he can return when his ban is over and they don't even need to tell us what happened.
He'll no doubt stay quiet now, only a couple years late. Lol The young man would have learnt a valuable life lesson here.
It won't be too hard to work out once his time has been served. Wonder if Hearn will talk up opponents and then pretend the fights fell through just to create a bit of a smokescreen?
Don't despair, we can count on the trusty champions of fair play in the boxing press to ask the tough questions and ensure the truth comes out
Jeff Powell of the Mail, who isn't known for holding back nor defending Benn, had his say in one of the youtube channels this week; somehow the interview is randomly cut off before he finished speaking, with a disclaimer that it's his words and not those of the channel Suspect someone leaned on them as Powell was basically saying what we all think - if he'd accepted the tests, he'd have served the 2 years by this summer and been training for a comeback... whilst also saying there's no evidence Benn is any good! Nice and honest...
