Benn fails drug test

Surely 2 failed tests is proof of ‘committing an anti-doping violation’?

Or they could just watch Benn’s fights from before and after the failed tests and see how the power magically disappeared.

 

Wondering what we will hear first - the Kamala Harris concession statement or Eggie Hearn's statement clearing Benn of all allegations.

 

So it's as clear as mud.

He has got off on a technicality. He is still a long way from being licensed

We all know he has been serving a secret ban. Now they can't start the technicality brigade of how he was hard done by, never did anything wrong and cleared of wrong doing after two years later from when he failed his two drug tests.

 

Part of me thinks it's funny this is all being dragged out Another part would like to see the little scrote in the ring against someone decent so we can watch him get totally battered.

 

Hope UKAD appeal again.

 

Hopefully UKAD appeal and win, and Benn is banned from the present day. That would terminally stick a fork in his career, and teach him a much needed lesson for trying to dodge a ban in the first place.

 

Knew he would be cleared in the end.

 

One of the key issues in Benn's case was that the VADA drug tests he tested positive to were paid for by Benn's own promoters Matchroom Boxing, and not by UKAD.

Even if it does end here, one would hope it has bought to the end his cheating.

Let's not kid ourselves by singling out young Conor. Have we forgot a certain Lancashire man had something illegal in his system who claimed he was buying and consuming boar meat? We convinientley forget that but chatsise this man despite Conor not being a world level challenger let alone a major belt holder and multiple holder of trinkets and star. Do i think Conor has taken something illegal? Perhaps. Do i think that the biggest names in the country are on something illegal? Yes.

 

Are you intimating that if other people have cheating as well it matters less?

 

I think he is just pointing out the inconsistencies in some people's take on drugs in boxing with particular fighters.

 

The bit I don't get is, at the point you've got gear in the system, surely the onus is on the athlete to prove their innocence not, the other way round.

We all know he's cheated, and yes loads of other boxer do. But the arrogant nepotism from Benn throughout is why people are harsher on him
